Rug Area
Jason plays a game with Mia and Stephanie on the rug that they made up. They each take a turn saying, “duck, duck, duck” when they get to “goose” they turn over the card with the pizza, stand up and run around in a circle. - October 15
Dramatic Play Area
Jason says, “Paula, sit, I do your hair. You need me to make you look pretty.” Jason takes the basket of rollers and barrettes and rolls her hair and puts some barrettes on.
Teacher: Jason, what are you doing?
J: I am a hair man. I do her hair, this is my salon.
T: Oh, you’re a hair dresser?
J: Yeah, a hairdresser. (Then he looks at Paula.) You look like a princess. (He gives her the mirror.) I’m finished, you like?

Dramatic Play Area
Jason goes with Irvin to the house area. Pamela and Paula are using the telephones. Jason says, “I want that phone!” Pamela responds, “No, I’m using it.” Then Jason says, “Come on Irvin let’s use the blocks.” They go to the block area where Jason takes a long rectangular block and gives it to Irvin and says, “Look”. He presses his finger on the block as if he were pressing real buttons. He says, “dit, dit, dit” as he presses the block. He says, “I’m calling you Irvin. Answer. Put the block by your ear.” - Novermber 15
Block Area
Jason approaches Irvin and Justin playing in the block area. He asks what they are doing. They are building trucks. Jason sits down with them and makes a fire truck out of hollow blocks with, “wheels, a place for a driver to get into, and a hose to spray the water.” Jason says to Justin, “That’s a cool dump truck. Oh no, it’s on fire. Shhhh! (he squirts the water).”
