Desiree enters the writing center and says, “Let’s make books.” She puts marks on the paper but she doesn’t understand what she’s doing.
Desiree enters the writing center and says to the two other girls at the table, “Let’s make books!” She staples several sheets of paper together for her and her friends. She draws a picture of her mother on the first page and makes some squiggle lines under the picture. She says, “This is my mom. See, it says mom.”
Desiree asks some girls to make books. They all stapled pages and wrote in them. Desiree showed the teacher her book and then put it in her cubby.
