Assessment and instruction are not separate acts, but rather work in concert.
Remember that the entire assessment process is iterative. While the process moves though a sequence of stages, each stage also informs and influences earlier stages. On a daily basis — and even with each interaction — you will find yourself moving back and forth between the various activities of the assessment process.
